Just downloaded CM3.5, followed the instructions for installing it but, I get c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt.the systemfile is not suitable for running MS-dos and Microsoft Windows applicacations. Choose 'close' to terminate the application. window pops up every time I try to run the setup file. I have read through the forums here and tried all the suggestions but I get the same results every freaken time.
I do not have SP2 installed, I was not going to wait that long to let it download.
OS/ Windows XP

Is that the *exe version of CM that you're trying to install? I get the same error message with that one, but when I d'load the *.zip version and run setup.exe from the folder I unzip it to, no problems at all. Go figure.

Revvin put a link to both kinds here:

Thank you for all the suggestions and help, I did get the issue resolved. Iam not sure if it was the autoexec.nt/config.nt suggestion or that I deleted my Raid array and then re-installed Windows XP; either way, the two files were replaced. I would again like to thank all those that helped. Thank you.
