Hi everyone. I'm having trouble programming my CH Pro Throttle using the boot disk I'm running on my system from this post: http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=324
My system specs are:

Intel P4 CPU 3.0 GHz
Mainboard Elitegroup (ECS) 848P-A
512 MB memory
SoundBlaster Live! card with newest drivers
Window XP Professional

I downloaded and installed this driver first for my CH Stick, the "chanlg08" one. I read the forum posts and followed BLAZERBRUCE's directions for CHFIXDS. I shut down the computer to connect the Pro Throttle to the SB LIVE gameport (my mainboard doesn't have one built in) along with a CH F-16 Combatstick connected to my throttle. I start up my pc, and go to my control panel to test and calibrate my stick and throttle, and they both work in Windows XP. I then shut down and reboot with the floppy boot disk and start my pc to start programming my Pro Throttle. So everythings working in control panel, and it's all connected, but I still can't program my Pro Throttle. I get this error, "Could not detect pro throttle, verify throttle is connected to keyboard port and game port". I even went as far as pulling out my SB Live card and moving it to another PCI slot and reinstalling the drivers. Could it just be a defective sound card? Thanks for your help. :)

I'm sorry for my last post. I made the error of not booting my system with the floppy first in the boot order. I was able to program my Pro Throttle, click and save it for a game before transmitting it. I got this far so there's no turning back!! Now I'm still stuck with the same problem. The throttle won't work in my SB Live soundcard's gameport. In the game, the throttle is not recognized, only my joystick, keyboard and mouse controls. The other thing is that I had to reboot to CMOS/BIOS setup to disable my USB ports in order to program my throttle in DOS mode. I'll keep trying...

And Blazer, this Bud's for you for helping us!!

SonicBoomer,

Is your Keyboard USB or PS/2? Also, see if their is a DOS driver for your Sound Card.. If there is I can make a patch for you to include the driver. Unless you have a USB keyboard, you dont have to disable USB in your BIOS.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for help! :) I've been using a PS/2 keyboard, and my Sound Card doesn't appear to have the DOS drivers installed.

SonicBoomer,

Do you have another system to test your CH gear on? I also wonder if for anyreason the MB manufacture decided to not intergrate Keyboard port programming  . You may want to consult the manufacture to make sure you have the programming capabilities. Also, try running the bootdisk without the mouse connected to the PC.

On a side note...Unless CH some how uses the Midi Pin to detect devices, the only thing on the gameport side to cause trouble wouild be if it is not supplying the correct voltage to the unit.
