Well, my wife did an incredibly good thing, and bought me a FigherStick for my birthday. After installation and testing from the controller applet in the control panel, I immediately brought up the CM interface and added the FighterStick to my map for FB, all ready to program it to my tastes.

The first thing I noticed is that, while with the Throttle, when in the CM interface, pressing a button or otherwise operating the controller always highlights the given button and gives the ID above the assignment panel over on the right. Operating a control on the FighterStick does no such thing. In order to select a button, I have to click on it with the mouse. Is something amiss?

Thanks in advance,
DDoutel

NM; I got it; I had to remove the MSFFB2 driver (the old stick), and before adding the new stick to the map, I had to remove the CMS controls.

All you should have had to do was click on the Test/Calibrate ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Test-Calibrate.jpg buttons to get the Control Manager to see the stick and starting taking input from it.

Hmmmm... Michael, forgive me for seeming obtuse; but how can the CM calibrate what it can't see? :) Windows was seeing the controller, but the CM wasn't.

The Control Manager polls the PC whenever you click on Test/Calibrate to see if there are any CH USB controllers connected that were not connected or seen during install of the Control Manager.

Sooo... if you had the CM already installed and then plugged in your stick then the CM may not be expecting it, but if you hit the "Test/Calibrate" button it goes out looking for family members :)
