Hello,
i recently bought the CH fighterstick USB, pretty cool stick and all, but when i try to go into BFV to set up the controls it doesn't seem to see my joystick.

the little light stays green on the stick for a while then goes to red, the control manager sees it fine and all.

any ideas/solutions would be appreciate, and sorry if this was posted before

BTW: Win XP SP2 (prolly what the damn problem is...damn SP 2)
BFV works fine and all otherwise, havn't tried the stick in any other games
the device manager sees it fine

all in info i think yas would need.

thx

The light will cycle through the red, yellow, and green LEDs as you click the button on the top right side of the stick handle. It may also turn red if your USB subsystem (chips, host controllers, etc.) lose communications with the stick. Next time you think this is happening to you, click that upper right button again and see if it cycles back to green. If it will, then it's probably still communicating, you can check in Game Controllers and see if the axes and buttons are still working. If they are then chances are what you've got is a problem with BFV itself paying attention to the stick (it can see it if Windows can). Usually it's just some ingame assignments thing that needs to be fixed up.

On the other hand, if the lights won't cycle or the axes and buttons have stopped working, then you've got something not quite right with the USB setup. Michael may have some ideas on what to do about that. You might also drop by the USBMan's page at:

http://www.usbman.com

and see if he has any info on your motherboard, OS version, chipset, or whatever.

I thought that might be all it was when you said the CM could see the stick. If you're using a map and designate the FighterStick in the "Mode Control" box on the Program Settings page, you'll get 3 tabs for each button, one per mode, and the LED will tell you which mode is currently selected. That button on the top/right of the handle is the Mode Selector button in that configuration, each click brings you to the next mode/LED.
