Bob,
After calibrating the controllers in Control Manager, should we still calibrate them within the FSUIPC module while in Map mode?
Also Bob, I assume that the "shift" button feature will function as always with the Throttle Quadrant. I know I shouldn't assume. ;)
One more Bob. Wil the current version of CMFS (1.20) support the new Throttle Quadrant?
And, do you have a sample Map that incorporates the Throttle Quadrant? I would really like to some examples of how the buttons are assigned.
Sorry Michael, you're permitted to jump in too. ;)
Hope all is good with you.
Thanks,
Howard

Hi Howard,
>> After calibrating the controllers in Control Manager, should we still calibrate them within the FSUIPC module while in Map mode? <<
You can if you you need to. FSUIPC only plays with the way FS sees the values, it doesn't actually affect the calibration itself, so there's no problem. It's Windows calibration that could mess things up, but with the CM having it's own calibration applet now that's not really a problem.
>> Also Bob, I assume that the "shift" button feature will function as always with the Throttle Quadrant. I know I shouldn't assume. <<
The shift and modes, etc. should all work just fine. The CM treats all the devices pretty much the same, a few differences with the TQ to deal with the detent, but otherwise it's just more axes and buttons.
>> One more Bob. Wil the current version of CMFS (1.20) support the new Throttle Quadrant? <<
Yes. Actually, that was what 1.20 was. Except for the TQ, it's just the same as 1.10. Your devices.cfg file doesn't need to change as a result of the update, really, except you'll probably want to make default assignments for the TQ. If you're not using the TQ, you don't really need to rebuild Device.cfg again just because you updated to 3.50.
>> And, do you have a sample Map that incorporates the Throttle Quadrant? I would really like to some examples of how the buttons are assigned. <<
No, not really. Just the info I posted on my site in CMNOTE02.ZIP. Was there some specific thing you wanted to do, or just looking for a general purpose thing?
>> Hope all is good with you. <<
Thanks, Howard! I hope things are well at your end, too!
Best regards,
- Bob

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your, as usual, quick reply.
I guess I just would like to see a Map which includes assignments to the new Throttle Quadrant.
Best,
Howard
