Hi!

This is another map for IL2 sturmovik pacific fighter, including TQ multiple throttle control!

The configured controls are:
the Pro Throttle USB,
the Fighterstick USB,
the Pro Pedals USB and
the Throttle Quadrant

The special thing about this map, apart from the engine control script, is the view and mode controls.

The view control is accomplished through the ministick on the pro throttle in cooperation with newView:
http://www.mousevision.com/game/newView.htm
The POV on the throttle is used together with the ministick to give a very good control of the view in the game.

I have included the file NPClient.ini, which is my newView settings, in the bundle.

The current mode is controlled by two of the three small buttons on the throttle handle. The buttons used for mode control is button 3 and button 4.
Mode 1 is the default mode,
mode 2 is entered while button 4 is depressed,
mode 3 is entered while button 3 is depressed,
mode 4 is entered while both button 3 and button 4 are depressed.

The TQ does not use these modes, instead it has two sets of local modes. Holding the rightmost button upwards or downwards makes the TQ-buttons shift mode to mode2 and mode3 respectively.

Apart from the button modes there are 3 engine modes that can be activated by holding down button 1,2 or 3 from the left, while holding down the rightmost button. The engine modes are:
1-Engine mode: Only the PT acts as throttle control. Axis 3,4,5 and 6 on the TQ is used for flaps, rudder trim, aileron trim and elevator trim.
2-Engine mode: The PT acts as "main throttle" but axis 1 on the TQ controls the throttle for the left engines, and axis 2 controls the throttle for the right engines.
4-Engine mode: The still acts as "main throttle" and axis 1,2,3 and 4 on the TQ controls respective engine. Axis 5 is still aileron trim and axis 6 is elevator trim.

Some notes:
The multi-engine script is almost as optimized as it can be. This also means that is sensitve against misuse. Do not select engines from any other buttons than those programmed on the TQ! If you do the script will get out of sync with what engines are currently selected. And might produce unexpected outputs. Also note that the script is not starvation free. This means that if you move the axises a lot some engines may not experience any changes until you stop moving the axises. This might result in a sudden move of one throttle possibly causing harm to your engines. Don't do this!
The throttle output is a simple subtraction of the PT and TQ axises. Therefore move the PT from its full backward position before trying to use the TQ axises for engine control. Actually the full forward postion is what you want to have it in if you want to get the full throttle whith the TQ controls.
Also note that the select and toggle engine buttons do not make any throttle position adjustments. This menas that the throttle of a newly selected engine will jump top the last value used. DO NOT USE THESE IN JETS or other sensitive engines!!!

For the throttle script to work, please make sure that the following axises are mapped in the game:
Power -Z-Axis ID2
Flaps Y-Axis Rotation ID2
Aileron X-Axis
Elevator Y-Axis
Rudder Y-Axis ID3
Brakes X-Axis ID3
Prop Pitch -Z-Axis Rotation ID2
Aileron Trim V Slider Axis ID2
Elevator Trim X-Axis Rotation
Rudder Trim U-Slider Axis ID2

and the following buttons:

Select All Engines Joybutton 10 ID2
Unselect All Engines Joybutton 1 ID2
Toggle Left Engines JOybutton 11 ID2
Toggle Right Engines JoyButton 12 ID2
Select/Unselect engine #1 JoyButton 6 ID2
Select/UNselect engine #2 JpyButton 7 ID2
Select/Unselect engine #3 JoyButton 8 ID2
Select/UNselect engine #4 JpyButton 9 ID2

The toe brakes are mapped into a single axis.

Have Fun!
