Ok, Im a very new USB Combatstick pro throttle user (as in I bought them saturday) (Revvin I posted this in both AGW HDW and WWIIOL HDW). But, I have SIMPED Verio Gameport pedals that I love and plan to keep. I have had CH Gameport Combat Stick and Pro Throttles since 1996 (2 sets). My latest set crapped out on me totally so I decided to go USB (latest rage yatta yatta).

Well I know that I need to have a joy stick connected to the Simpeds to get Windows 98SE (My Oper System) to see the pedals, so I connected my old Combat stick. Ive selected a plain 2 axis 2 button stick as the driver for the pedals. I can calibrate them in windows but I dont get full throw in test.

I have the Combat stick USB as 1
The pro throttle as 2
the standard with pedals in 3 on the game control panel

When I go into WWIIOL I cannot get the game to recognise the the standard (IN otherwords when I select YAW in the Air Profile page to program it and swing the pedals, It doesnt pop up as stick 1 RZ axis. But I can hand program it and it sort of works (I get left rudder but thats it). Plus WWIIOL rearranges my sticks, it sees the gameport as 1 the USB Combatstick as 2 and the Throttle as 3.

In WB3 I get the rudder, but only about 1/4 throw (which doesnt do much good).

Im all confused. :( Does anyone have any suggestions, frankly Im a bit :censored: at the whole thing and wish I had my old sticks back right now

Even after you calibrate them in Windows you don;t get full range of motion in the test screen?

I think this may be the issue. You need to get off on the right foot so to speak. If you can't even get full range of motion after a calibration then there is no way games are going to get the full range either.

But hey maybe I am wrong they are after all not my pedals so I will make no claims to being a SimPed guru.

Have you tried Bob Church's rudder only drivers (http://home.att.net/~stickworks/swdownld.html#RDDRONLY)? that could possibly take one problem out of the equation of having to plug in another gameport device so Windows can see them.

Nope rev, didnt even know it existed. Ill give it a whirl tonite. That may solve my problem.

Oh And micheal, I know CH makes good pedals, the only problem for me was they are too narrow, thats why I used TM's then Simpeds. I like the wider format. If'ns ya make a wider format someday I might swap
