Hello and thanks for the bootdisk. But I have problem detecting the joysticks when I use the bootdisk. However, under Windows, both my joystick and throttle functions, but without all the buttons of course. I try resetting the joystick as suggested but that didn't work. I'm wondering if it's my KVM blocking the detection. Here's my setting:

MB: Asus A7NX-X with onboard gameport and sound card (disabled)
Sound: S/B Audigy 2 with no game port
KVM: TrentNet 2 port KVM, cable type

Disabling the onboard soundcard and gameport may be the source of the problem. If the gameport doesnt output the +5 volts, then nothing will work. Try using your onboard sound and gameport to see if this remidies the problem.

Hmmm rather odd thing happened. I rebooted with the throttle disk and it worked fine. It detected the CH Throttle and procede to the programming screen. Now I turn off the computer for 10 seconds and hold down the top 2 red button and reboot with the joystick disk, still say it can't detect it. May be my joystick is busted?

Maybe the pass Through cable is busted on the joystick  .

There's no pass-thru cable for the Fighterstick. It's currently connected to the Throttle.

hmmm, I never owned the CH Gameport throttle. From what I heard, the throttle cant completly program the fighterstick. Basically the thottle reads key combinations like what the combatstick produces from what I have been told. That means you have a maximum of 16 combinations or keys. But dont hold me to this. Michael from CHprod may know, but I dont know if he worked at CH during the years of gameports.

For a short while but I can't remeber the DOS programming stuff. I believe the DOS stuff does limit you as the Fighterstick was really supposed to be programmed in SpeedKeys and when it was used with a throttle the Pro throttle was the one that was most friendly.

I just found the old user manuals on CH's FTP site and it states that the KB passthru cable for the Fighterstick is not required if I'm using a Pro-Throttle. Is it possible that the XP Boot disk can only program the joystick and throttle individually? Currently I have the joystick connected to the throttle and the throttle connected to the pedals.

Thanks Bruce and Mike.

PS: The said user document only refer to the Speedkey program and Windows 95/98/ME and didn't include the configuration in DOS only. Don't know if the passthru cable is required for DOS but not for Windows 95/98/ME if using my current set-up.
