My Standard Joyport Pro throttle used to hold the last map download in memory even with computer off (The old 3 button dance to reset it was fun). But I notice my USB's have to be downloaded everytime to work when I start computer.

Izzat right. If so, theres another suggestion to fix :D, if they are supposed to retain then Ive a problem

You are ok.

Our USB controllers do not have a chip in them that holds the map you download to them. It is all done in the Control Manager. This means no need to "Flash" your controllers with new firmware.

The game port controllers did have chips on their boards that would hold the programming so you could even disconnect them and they would still have that program when you reconnected them later.

CH has made a utility called "chstart" that runs in the background. When you start your computer, this utility will automatically load the last map that you used before shutdown of computer effectively mimicking the gameport controller's ability to do this.

I use this exclusively myself!

Hope this helps!
