hi everyone

I'm trying to get my fighterstick to work as a mouse. I want to have the X and Y axis to move the cursor and then I want to assing two buttons for left and right mouse click. I use the command LKLICK and RCLICK and I can get it to compile and then move around the cursor with my fighterstick. But when I press the button on the fighterstick that I have assigned to left or right mouse click the computer freezes and I have to restart it.

What am I doing wrong?

Funny you should post this question! I was JUST thinking of playing around and trying just that! Altho at the moment I'm at work ;) here's what I'd try:

1. Keep all axis and buttons in Direct X
2. Select X axis and assign to mouse in the drop down
3. Do the same with Y
4. Be sure to keep the POT "trim" wheels centered
5. Select, say, the trigger and assign it as mouse, button 1
6. Select another button and assign it as mouse button 2
7. Save the .map
8. Download the .map

See how that works for you...

Thanks alot, it worked out fine. The trick was to keep everything in direct X mode.

The reason why I wanted it to work as a mouse is that I want to practise my eye and hand coordination. Alot of the air force and civil flight schools in my country use joysticks in their computer based test to see if you have the coordination that you need to fly an airplane.

You're welcome! Trying it now! Not as easy to use as a mouse as one may think! ;)
