Game port is not the way to go on a Windows XP rig :( . You can get basic drivers for it but it requires a decent speed game port. What kind of port are you using? Have you downloaded and the CH Analog Drivers (http://www.chproducts.com/retail/tech_chanlg.htm)? Keep in mind with the current state of affairs the game port/keyboard pass through programming for those controllers (SpeedKeys) is not going to work at all in Windows XP (or 2K).

Same thing Sir.
All installed ok but when I go to calibrate it nothing happens. I click on the clibration button and nothing , I dont know what speed my gameport is. I have a phillips sound card with lots of plug openings its about 2 years old at that.
throw computer in garbage and get new one???? lol just messing with ya.
At one time I did have a seperate program up and running and the calibration controlpanel did come up but I coudlnt get nothing on it to work.

I've had trouble with the Philips cards under XP before, though with a different gameport stick. You might check and see if there are any updated drivers for it, but it may be that they just don't work with XP. Does the game port show up in the Device Manager okay? When you "Add" the FighterStick in the Windows Game Controllers applet, does it come up Okay or Disconnected? If you get that far, hit the Properties button in Game Controllers and you should get to the calibration screen for the CH stuff. Up in the top left corner does it say it's testing/calibrating the FighterStick?

What happens if you connect just the stick?
What happens if you connect the stick and the Throttle?
What happens if you have just the stick and you add it as a "2 Axis, 2 Button joystick"?

Okay. Well, it's the stick/throttle or the driver, maybe we can narrow it to one or the other....
If you add the stick as a 2-Axis/4-Button so it comes up in the Windows test screen rather than the CH panel, do the axes and buttons move there? If not, then it's more likely that there's something wrong with the stick/throttle. It seems to me that the FighterStick only had four working buttons unless they were programmed anyway, the hats didn't work at all. In any case, if it won't work with the Windows drivers as a 2-Axis/4-Button it's probably in the stick/throttle hardware itself.
If the stick will work that way, then it's more likely something with the driver. Either it's not loading at all or it's not detecting the stick. There are some things we can test if you want to pursue it but it's hard to do it through the forum. Drop me an email (sticky at stickworks dot com) and we can do it from there if you're interested.

Yeah, I know - I'm just out looking for trouble. :) I I've seen two or three of these "won't start" complaints on CHAnalog but so far I haven't been able to really catch one in the act. I had a fellow out on the NGs a few weeks back that was reporting the same thing, but then I think he'd not removed another stick before adding the CH and so it wasn't really getting the gameport. Anyway, it had a definite explanation. If I could catch one in the act and get a debug print on it maybe I could figure out if there's really a problem or not, but so far no luck.
This isn't the one that went with that log you sent earlier is it?
