Hi guys,

I've been trying to get Revvin's LOMAC map to download to the Fighterstick and Pro Throttle but it keeps on saying that the download is cancelled because of an unrecognized character or keyword. Is there a way to fix this? This map looks the best for my tastes, but I can't get it to work.

Thanks,

Ron

do you have the CMC file in the same directory?

 Nope, I only had the CMS and MAP files in the MAP directory. When I get home tonight I put all three files in there and give it a try.

Thanks,

Ron

OK, I got that to work, but now when I download the profile and go into LOMAC, it doesn't recognize any of the button assignments. I have already combined the Stick and Throttle and made sure to select the CH Manager Device 1 as my input. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

Do you get the correct key strokes when you check them in the "Key Check" ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Key_Check.jpg?

It is the 11th icon from the left in the Control Manager tool bar...

Download your map then open up the "Key Check" and see if it tells you your map is sending the key strokes you think it should.

The only buttons that respond to the key test are the keyboard strokes. When I press any of the buttons on the joystick or throttle it shows that I'm pressing buttons because it immediately displays what button I pressed (in directx mode), just not in the key test window. I apologize if I just confused the hell out of you.

Thanks,

Ron

Disregard my last post, I've got it working now. I re-copied all three files back into the maps directory, loaded up the Control Manager and immediately downloaded the profile into the Stick. I went into LOMAC, and it showed me two additional CH devices. I picked the second one (as the first one doesn't work) and set up the throttle axis. I went into a mission and it works like a charm. I love the precise controls that are possible with this stick. I had a gameport Combatstick a few years ago and I should have went with CH again before going for the Cougar. Well, lessons learned I guess. Thanks for all the help Michael!!!
