Make sure you let your significant other how much they mean to you. If you do not HAVE a significant other... CALL YOUR MOTHER!!! ;)

I actually hate valentines day because of the poor people who don't have a valentine (I used to be one of them) who now have an extra special day to feel even more alone and worthless. There's this one girl at work who never seems to be in a relationship at this time. This day seems really hard for her and I think her self-esteem takes an even greater beating because of it. She's like a sister to me so I always get her something so the day isn't completely horrible. That more than anything is why I don't like this scam of a holiday.

Yeah, she does. In addition to being my co-worker she's on my volleyball team and so is my girlfriend. They like each other very much. And, like a good guy I told her about it as well - leave nothing to chance so nobody gets confused. Confusion leads to suspicion.
