Had to post this. I recently had to reformat and re-install everything (my fault of course  ). Once I got Windows reloaded, I loaded up my combat flight sims to start getting them modded like before the crash. I of course loaded CM 4.0. I was flying just last night and I noticed that when I had no throttle applied, CFS3 was reading 7 - 8 %. Hmmm. I checked to make sure nothing was blocking the full travel of my throttle. Nope.
Then I realized that after I reinstalled CM 4.0, I had not calibrated my controllers  .
What amazes me is that it was good enough to fly with without even calibrating (not recommended though.)
I realized that I hadn't re-calibrated because it's not something I do regularly. I bought these controllers (FS, PP, PT USB) over a year ago and I have only calibrated them three times now. Once when I first got them, once when I upgraded to 4.0, and agin after the crash. When I first got these, I checked the calibration every couple of days or so. That wears thin when they are always spot on (unlike my old HOTAS).
Anyway, thanks to CH and all the people who build and support these first rate controllers.
Just in case nobody ever says so, you guys do a great job and make the best "stuff" in the business.
Many thanks,
Rich :salute:
