If you go with the Fighterstick(or my favorite the Combatstick) and a Pro Throttle you will not be upset... trust me :)
The designs are a bit long in the tooth but it's hard to beat what works ;)

I know thats why im here
I just hate buying something real tight and to later find out something even tighter comes out just not long after i bought it:rant:
By the way isnt the fighterstick better than the combat? So why do you prefer it over the fighter?

...I have to ask. Why do you prefer the Combat stick over the FighterStick Michael? If you said the Flightstick I might say "Ok its good for both right and left handers. But this puzzles me. Just wunderin' :salute:

He's getting old, the Fighterstick has too many buttons on there for him to remember where he mapped everything :D

Well, at 35 I am not loosing my marbles, just yet. I prefer the Combatstick, too. I have both in the old joyport variety and when I recently came over from the dark side I chose to go with the CS. In my opinion, more buttons is not always better. For WW2 type sims it's not over kill (no radar, no missles, no need) and for modern sims there are still plenty to cover all the necessary items.
Sombody correct me if I am wrong, but at least in the joyport versions I seem to remember, the CS base is a little more compact and the unit sits lower than the FS variety. maybe the same can be said for the USB versions.

Some of the first Combatsticks had the smaller base but the current Combatsticks use the larger Fighterstick base.
As for my preference, Revvin is right (probably because he has asked me the same question). I am not wicked old (only 34) but years of "adult beverages" have taken the keen Warriors edge off of my muscle memory :)
Sooo.... less buttons = Michael can play while still enjoying "adult beverages" ;)
