I have owned the yoke and pedals for some time now and recently aquired the FS,PT and TQ, and out of curiosity where should the "warenty void if seal is broken" seal suppose to be?

Common sense tells me somewhere the seal would break if I attempted to see the guts of my gear, and actually is placed there on a few of the items.

The FS and PT I bought together and the PT has the seal in the spot that it would break if I attempted to disenbowl my throttle but the FS has it on the bottom of the base out of harms way.

Reason i ask this is I now wonder whether the items I bought are in fact new, unopened merchandise. The seal is also on the bottom of the TQ and yoke only the pedals and PT have them in a location that they must be removed or broken to open up the case.

Maybe this is why they were shipped in a Saitek box?????

joking about the Saitek box :roflmao:

Again this is out of curiosity but if they may be remanufactured or used items being sold as new I will be more than happy to give the names of the dealers ;)

No they are on the outside, I haven't opened my items due to the fact of voiding the warrenty ;)
I just thought that they should be placed where they would rip or break if I attempted to disect my goodies. And where they are on most of my stuff they wouldnt be affected had I decided to open the cases up.

They came in CH boxes, but had different shrink wrap, all bought from "big" name dealers selling them as new, so i just wondered, they all work fine for now so no real concerns. although even after calibrating the TQ is rather touchy at the upper and lower ranges, a little too much "play" for my tastes but again that may be just how I have them set up, still much more experimenting to be done.

Other than that best money I have spent in a long time!

Hey, that was (supposed to be) a joke :D !

Anyway, if they "came from big name dealers" then you should be able to rely on their declaration and trust they are brand new, I should think.

The seals are suppose to either be covering the holes where the screws are located OR on a seam...depending on the product. I'm not sure what you mean by having different shrink wrap?

And Revvin... verrrrrry funny! NOT!!!! ;)

Different shrink wrap meaning on a few the plastic wraped outside the bax was nice and tight and clear, on the others loosely wrapped and cloudy in appearance.
Sorry for sounding confusing but another matter of knowing what i want to say and it not translating well in text

Well, sometimes the shrinkwrap on the corners of the boxes are a bit loose, when the box is not perfectly squared... has something to do with the machine that wraps it. I doubt a retailer went through the trouble to re-shrink wrap the product...provided they even have a machine. However, if you are worried... you are more than welcome to send the unit(s) into us for inspection.

Even when a customer voids their warranty by opening up the devices, we still only charge a minimal fee for service repair. The only time it proves to be expensive, is when the pc board is destroyed or the unit has been blatantly abused.

Doorknob, don't worry too much about it. We'll take care of you, should anything happen to your gear! :salute:

Note: If you are outside the U.S. and would like me to look into this further, with the retailer, please send me a PM with the company name. It will be much too expensive to send to us in California just to look at it!

Thank you ma'am, but i shouldn't think that is necessary, was just curious thats all.

Everything appears to be fine but if anything goes bad I know who to call ;)
