G'day
I have a "F16 Combat Stick" analog. I'm using it on win98 for "Strike Fighters 1" simulator.
I have an interesting problem that may not be a problem at all, if I knew why or how to use the POV on it.

I can set my stick fine on the control panel using the analog drivers and the POV seem to show on 4 direction (on both xy axises). So I thought I could assign POV 4 seperate controls. However, when I'm inside the game (SF1) I can seem to be able to assign only 1 control to POV and on the -ve Y axis as POV[0:0]...

any help or suggestions?

cheers

The reason for this is because most games and Direct X see the POV hat as a ONE multi-directional button NOT as 8 buttons or whatever.

With CH Control manager you can break down the POV hat into separate buttons, assigning key board keys to the individual buttons (directions on the POV); but, doing this you may loose pan view in the game and would have to assign buttons to each direction, causing the view to be jerky from direction to direction, instead of a smooth pan. This does depend on the game or simulator.
