Has anyone been able to get the ministick on the Pro/Throttle to act as the mouse in IL2-FB? Do you have to disable the "real" mouse in order for FB to work with the "mapped" mouse? I'd like to use the ministick for zooming which requires a left click and then mouse movement. By the way, i use Track IR2 and i believe when it's activated the game wont let you pan or use quick views (not sure if that affects the mouse stuff). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Fever

Hi Fever!

I use the ministick as a mouse all the time in FB. I have also mapped the mouse buttons, and it all works along with the "real" mouse. However I do not use TrackIR.

I have no other help for you but perhaps it is good to know someone else got it working? B)

Do you want to click on a button and then move the mini joystick for the Zoom? i.e. use the mini as a view backup with zoom being a secondary function?

Or did you want the mini joystick to be just zoom through the mouse?

I'd like to use the ministick as a mouse y aixs which will be dedicated to zooming. I'll use some other button (with a smart script which activates a CMS button when its off center) for the left click action which allows that yaxis on the mouse to act as zoom. I think the TrackIR interface is affecting what i can and cant do with mapped controllers. My normal mouse works with left click/zoom but i cant get the ProTrottle ministick to mimic the mouses functionality.

Thanks for your assistance so far guys.

Did you set the Y axis on the Mini Joystick to ast as a mouse in the Control Manager?

Yes, and it actually works as a mouse in the IL2 game interface (and at the desktop) but not in game (when your flying).

OK, it appears TrackIR takes over view control when it picks up a signal. WIth it disabled the ministick mapped as a mouse works fine. However, im not getting the LCLICK to work the way i want it in game. It seems when i press the button i mapped the LCLICK to it sends a brief click instead of holding down the "left click" when i hold down the button. I've tried "HOLD LCLICK" but that didnt fix it. Any suggestions? I'll keep fiddling with it.

OK, after reading the CM manual again i found out i need to map the button in DirectX mode to get a "held" mouse click. Back to tweeking.

Edit:

It's all working now, thanks again for the help. Hope someone else can learn from all this :).
