Boot disk using cd

Is it possible to make a CD bootdisk rather than a floppy bootdisk as I no longer have a floppy disk drive? Thanks

Time after time I tried to work on setup that would make a bootable cd easy to make, but more importanlty, crash free.
Im still messing around with virtual ram drives. So not all hope is lost!
