[attachmentid=1299]Hello Everyone,
I'm new to flight simulators, I love watching airplanes. so i thought i'll give flying a try (by simulator that is). by using a google search, i came across a place called desktopaviator.com it looks like they have good looking cessna panels. the price is reasonable as well (compaired to a placed called go flite). did any of you guys (or gals) buy something from them? if so, does it work? what's your take on this guy? you can see them at: http://www.desktopaviator.com thanks for your time. Coy

I was able to get this photo of their Cessna Panel Model 1010. I think it looks cool

I was able to email this guy Steve yesterday and he told me that Desktop Aviator is going to introduce a Cessna style throttle, mixuter quadrent for around $185.00 He did not email any pictures but he said the controls will have a push, pull type throttle, just like in the Cessna 172. I cant wait. I'll proberly buy both the throttle quadrent and the cessna panel. maybe steve will give me a discount. nice guy to talk to, he was very patient with all my questions i asked.

I took a look at these yesterday after seeing your post, and must say very nice indeed and affordable!
I am thinking of getting some myself to try out, looks like Im going to be needing more USB ports :)

Hi,
The guy from Desktop told me all I needed to increase the number of usb posts was to get a thing called a USB extender card. it takes 1 port and makes into 4. costs about $8.00 I can add as many as I want.

Never heard of a "extender card", have heard of extenders but they cost much more than $8.
I bet he was talking about a external hub or PCI card. either would work fine I use a self powered external hub for all my CH gear without problems the important thing to remember is get a powered one (plugs into the wall).

So you getting one first? or am I? :w00t:
