Hi: I am having a problem which is that no matter what I do I cannot get the control manager & FS2004 settings to coincide. If I get most of the setting working then my brakes do no go off and I cannot move. I read the pdf tutorial by CH and did everything it said but no luck. Can anyone using CH flight yoke with the3 control levers and USB CH Rudder Pedals and WIN XP please possible email me a copy of their C& H control panel map file? Also do you combine your 2 controllers (yoke & Pedals) when creating a ch map file using the wizard or do you leave them as 2 separate ones? As you can tell I'm confused...Thanks...Al

May I ask why either one of you is using the Control Manager in MFS 2004?
MFS 2004 has the ability to program your buttons and axis. Unless you are looking for some modes or scripting I would not even bother opening the Control Manager up for MFS 2004.

Hi: I am trying to use control manager because I heard that you can refine your settings for senseitivites finer. I was trying to get a more realistic rudder senseation. Using FS2004 settings it seems to make a big change between slider settings. ...Al

thanks,
MSFS 2004 works well in direct mode. that's right.
I try to use Map mode (and the Manager) in order to have a shift button and mainly in order to have a button dedicated to voice activation (teamspeak), useful for network flying. I don't know how to do that with only direct mode.

Drop by my web site at:
http://www.stickworks.com
and check on the "Files" page for CMFS. FS works fine with the CM, either Direct or Mapped, but it can be very confusing when you first try to set it up. CMFS includes a DOC file that explains what's happening and has a small utility that you can use to set default mappings for your CH USB stuff and the Control Manager so that you don't have to do a lot of manual assigning. It also has some simple yoke/pedal maps, one set with and one set without shifted settings. The file was originally written for FS2002, but the info on Devices.cfg is still valid, last time I checked the files didn't even change. You do have to find the files if you want to update them as the utility looks in the default FS2002 location, but otherwise it should all work fine. You'll probably want to drop by the page they keep for Pete Dowson over at:
http://www.schiratti.com
and look for his documents on the controls for FS2000 and for whatever version you're actually using. The FS2000 version was the last version that actually had the explanations in it, the FS2002 and FS9 versions only listed the controls since the basic info was the same.
Anyway, have a look. Maybe it will help you get it sorted out.

Hello, I am using a CH flight Sim yoke (Its old and I dont think its the PC I think its before that even) on my gameport. However, the drivers that came with it do not work for fs2004 and the chang8 drivers do not work either. I am not able to calibrate the yoke at all on windows controller settings. All other drivers I try cause the breaks to lock up and I cannot control them. Is there any advice out there for me? Also if I buy a gameport to USB converter can I use CH flight Sim yoke USB drivers? Thanks.

It is a Ch products Flight Sim Yoke LE for game port. Is that even compatible with FS 2004?

Yes it is. As long as Windows can see it as a controller (through Game Controllers in Control Panel) MFS can see it.
