Got the new Monitor & Computer and CH Hotas but not want to spend too much money (of the kids inheritance) but it works fine for this 82 year old Luftwaffe Pilot called Joachim.

Wow, 82 Jahre und nicht nur rĂ¼stig, sondern noch nicht genug vom (virtuellen) Fliegen ;) ? Hut ab  !
Solltest Du Fragen haben, hier bist Du genau richtig.
Was fliegst Du eigentlich so, wenn man fragen darf?

Well, I'm only 50, and not a (real) pilot, but I'd say, blow it all, have a blast, you only live once, might as well enjoy life while you can.
That's my philosophy. :)

Nice to see you here, Joachim! It's always nice to have WW2 vets around.
What planes did you fly in the Luftwaffe?

Being and accomplished glider pilot as a teen already I was greatly disappointed to be put into the technical part of the Luftwaffe in 1942 due being journeyman Metal Aircraft Builder.
Volunteered plenty but suppose needed more of us then pilots still then.
All changed in 1944 and was selected to pilot school in special training program. Started with 80 and finished with 20 as all were supposed to be fighter pilots only so aerobatics weeded most out.
Flown only trainers, lots of different ones, but the Russions closed in on our school end of 1944 at the Oder river.
Was send to some other schools but flying for us was over.
Disappointed then but alive still now as a great grandfather.
At least I did make to become a Luftwaffe Flugzeugfuehrer.
Ended up in infantry combat and wounded in April 1945.
