I switched from using control manger version 1.32 in my USB fighterstick, pro throttle, & pro petals setup to version 3.0. I use Windows XP.
When I install CMstart in the usual fashion into start/programs/startup, it appears there like it should but won't start control manager automatically like it did before when I start the computer.
I had to put the CMstart as an icon on the desktop, where it works OK.
Anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Do you have more than one user account? How about some cool Anti-Virus/Pop-Up Killer software running?

Please help me. I'm having the same problem getting cmstart to work. I have the icon on my desktop but it won't run. I'm using WinXP and I've just installed CH Manager 3.6

I wasn't aware that CMstart actually started CHCM. As I understand it it loads the last downloaded map that you produced in CHCM and "feeds" those values into FS2004. I have never seen it do anything or open anything. On my system it is set up to start when WinXP starts and appears briefly as a red icon on the lower right taskbar, it then changes to green and then disappears. Bob Church gave me a very good reply in one of my previous posts. Are you sure its not starting? If you look at the devices.cfg in FS9, if it has exactly the same values as your last CHCM downloaded map then CMSTART has probably worked. You could try changing your maps and on a Windows re-start yo should see a change in the devices.cfg file.
