Here is my Aces High2 profile. I have been working and re-working it for four or five years. Thanks to the great expertise here at the CH-Hangar, I have been able to implement some pretty cool features. Though it is designed for the leftyHOTAS, I have taken extra care to make it as easy as possible for the right-hander to adapt. Hope you find it useful and enjoy it.
There are actually three different profiles in the zip file:
1. FighterStick/Pro Throttle/Pro Pedals
2. FighterStick/Pro Throttle/Pro Pedals/Track IR
3. FighterStick/Pro Throttle/Pro Pedals/Throttle Quadrant/Track IR
In addition to the CM files, the zip contains a button layout diagram showing what every button on the HOTAS does. Download the zip file by clicking the "AcesHigh2.zip" file at the end of this message.
Features
"Display Damage" shows only as long as you hold down the button. When released, the damage screen disappears.
When you press the "Set trim button", trims for elevator, aileron, and rudder will be centered for whatever position you are currently holding your controllers in. This is a great feature for when you get all shot up and are trying to limp back to base while having to maintain lots of rudder, etc. You simply press this button while holding the plane level and you can almost release the controls and the trim will hold the plane in that configuration. To reset the trim to it's normal position, simply press the button again with all controls centered. Many thanks to DonULFonso for this really great function.
The "Cycle External View" button will cycle through these three views:
1. External View
2. Chase View
3. External Fixed View
One of the hats on the PT controls flaps. If you simply press the hat up or down, the flaps retract/extend one position. If you hold the hat up or down for 1/2 second or more, the flaps will retract/extend to their fullest extent.
The mode button on the Pro Throttle is the "bail button." When you press and hold the button, your pilot will bail out. When you release the button, his chute will open (hopefully).
If you have a Throttle Quadrant, you can use the two throttle handles (far left two) to control twin engine planes like the P-38, etc. You can toggle between using the Pro Throttle's throttle and the TQ throttles by clicking button 12 on the TQ. You can do this anytime, even while in flight. There are times when I want to control the engines seperately and I simply press B12 and the TQ throttles take over. When I want to go back to a single throttle, I press B12 again and the PT throttle gains control again.
The profile features automatic WEP. When you extend the throttle to about 80%, WEP will come on automatically. You can still switch WEP on and off using a button on the PT.
