View Full Version : BF Vietnam doesn't see rudders.

If I program my Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals using Michael's map (its for a Combatstick setup) BFV sees the rudders (but of course not the stick, which doesn't get programmed). I see that they are set as CM device 1, R Axis, in DX mode. If I create a new map for my setup (combined devices) and look at the pedals they are set up identically but BFV doesn't see them (sees stick and throttle fine though. What am I missing? Anyone have a BFV map for the FS-PT-PP?

Thanks!

I've not got the game but I would imagine it uses the same kind of input as BF1942, if that's the case I had to combine the devices as you have then play around moving axis around as the game only seemed to be able to detect a certain ammount of axis, IIRC I swapped the default axis for the throttle wheel on the stick with the default axis that the rudders used.

Thanks - I'll mess around with it some more Revvin. Michael has the Rudders as R Axis in his Combatstick map (I set mine up the same, no go..)

Do you have a FS-PT-PP map for BF1942 that the rudders work in?

Thanks

Well this profile is by no means complete but I have tested it (extensively at a LAN meet :) ) and the rudder axis is recognised in BF1942. I have'nt messed around with the other axis yet as I only wanted the joystick, throttle and rudder axis but I may mess with it later, feel free to modify this one and if you come up with a nice setup feel free to post it in the profile forums below.

Thanks Rev, switching the Axis with the throttle wheel did it. Rudder is now U Axis, Fighterstick built in throttle (unused anyway) is R axis. Funny thing, if I use your map and pull the trigger my system locks solid...

I created a new map, just assigned stick buttons in the game. Works great!

I have my FGTR-PT-PP map for BF 1942 posted in the Profiles section but for some reason that section only shows stuff I have posted in the last 30 days. But since I wrote that one I have made quite a few changes so I will pull it down and re-write it this week end.
