I downloaded the IL-2 FB CSPTPP profile. My question is what do I do with the folder after I have extracted the contents?

After you extract everything into the
"C:\Program Files\CH Products\Control Manager\Maps"
directory you need to load the map.

"Load" is the first icon from the left ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Load.jpg
in the Control Manger tool bar...
ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Toolbar.jpg

Then Select the map you want (a base map is shown here)..
ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Load_Select.jpg

Then either change some things or "Download" it. ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Download.jpg

After you "Download" the map then close the Control Manager and go play B)

Hi all,
Is there a way to load the scripts automatically? I mean at xp start-up or maybe even better at il2 fb aep startup? Ik own a fighterstick and pro peds at the moment.
Everytime I restart or first start I have to load the script, last week i was in a vow and had to leave cause I forgot to load the script.......Other gents weren't too happy with me........ :(

Thanks in advance

The script is still there after a Windows restart, it's just switched back to Direct Mode. You can just open the GUI and click the "Mapped Mode" button, no real need to load the map or download it again.

There's also a utility in your Control Manager folder called CMStart.exe. The folder is:

\Program Files\CH Products\Control Manager

You can create a shortcut to CMStart in your StartUp folder so that it runs when Windows start. It runs for a couple of seconds, basically it just pushes the Mapped Mode button for you without running the GUI, and that will reactivate whatever map was last downloaded.

Sensing that an application is running and loading it's map as a result isn't implemented in the Control Manager, you do have to have the right map loaded and running when you start the sim one way or another.

Hope this helps!
