Here's a few shots of my MFP powered sim setup.

The desk is a complete mess, but the controllers are easy to get to.

2 MFP's standing side by side.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/Deathviper/ICP.jpg
The left side has an ICP, landing gear, master arm and an alternate landing gear button far off to the side.

The right one shifts between the left and right MFD's in AF, as well as having buttons for master lights, CAT I/III, Radar altimeter, DED to HUD, nd parking brake.
Between the 2 MFPs and the Cougar, I can go an entire flight without touching the keyboard.

cougar, that is a ch products enemy right?
do you use the other 2 monitors for simming?

The monitor on the left is for comms. The one on the right is the comms monitor for the second tower. And yeah, the Cougar is CHs enemy, but with the FSSB mod I wouldn't give up the Cougar for anything.

I guess it is hard to give it up, When You have nearly $1000 in a stick.
Let go of your anger, and REPENT. Your bruised ego will heal itself when your CH Hotas returns to rightful place on your desk top.
Do not fear, many of us have fallen in the past, but it is not to late.
Ask for forgiveness and you shall receive salvation through a CH HOTAS.

Yes I think words like 'enemy' are a bit strong. Sure they are products sharing a market but its all down to suiting the users needs, I know a lot of us have been let down by the Cougar but if it does the job for Viper then good for him.
I wish I was more skilled in woodwork to make a pit as a quote I had for an Akers Barnes was sky high but if I made it I'd end up picking splinters out of various parts of my body for as long as I used the pit :)

I'll bet you can. That's where I want to be soon when I can order multiple MFP's. Nice design on your MFPs - it's a great setup. Looks like a nice desk too.

Thanks. Yeah the desk is pretty good. I screwed a 2x10 as armrests on either side of the chair, as well as an elbow rest on the flight stick side. The left side rest works great for easy access for flightplans, briefings of whatever else. I'm working on plans for something a little more realistic, but haven't started construction yet.

I assume based on your mfp's that you are flying falcon 4.0 allied force? I have noticed most mfp users fly falcon 4.0:AF, i guess there arent as many buttons in IL2....
You are able to put comms on a second monitor with allied force? I have a 2nd monitor and am not sure if i should put it in my cockpit, i fly fsx, il2 and lomac so far. i am new btw.

I put Skype and Teamspeak on the second monitor. That way I can always see who's talking during muliplayer.

I don't play Falcon 4.0 AF but I use mine for IL-2, I find it useful for the additional engine controls, nav lights, map teamspeak and online server commands.

Is that the force mod on your cougar stick? The one where you dont move it much its all based on pressure?
Deathviper

Yup. Thats the Force Sensor Stick Base mod. The stick moves about a 16th of an inch at the pickle button. It's a really cool feeling to do a 9G turn without moving your hand. It cost quite a bit, but I like the realism and the fact I can dogfight for hours without my arm aching

what was the cost of that? i assume that means you dont need the halls upgrade so that saves you some money.

it cost about 400 bucks canadian. But it's good for 10 million uses. And it makes the Cougar really stable.

so thats much cheaper than going with the halls and uber-nxt... you still need to upgrade the throttle to a halls but it saves you the $400 us dollars for the uber-nxt. plus 400 canadian is like 350 american i think...
