Hi all.

I found out about this site through a post on Sim Hq. I am SO glad it is here!

I have all CH Pro controllers: Combatstick 568, Throttle, and Pedals; all USB.

Ever since acquiring this set up, I have not been able to understand how to use the Controller Manager program. I read articles about how simple it is, but I have not been able to create profiles.

The one I use was made for me, but I would sure like to get online, possibly via RW or TS and have someone "walk" me through it.

I fly FS9 a lot, plus Strike Fighter Project One.

You're the first I've seen with the same controller set-up as me. Do you down load profiles and then wish you'd gotten a fighter-stick too? Hehe

Hey,

I don't believe there is much difference between the Fighterstick and the Combatstick; but I could be wrong.

I have never been able to find profiles for my setup to download. I have found setups similar, but they were not USB.

If I can just master the Control Manager program, I won' t have a need to download any.

You're very welcome! I hope to convert more of my profiles for the Combatstick in future as I'm sure there are many ore users out there looking for profiles.

If you are looking for Combatstick maps send me and e-mail and I will send you mine. Personally I can't remember what I program to all the buttons on the Fighterstick so I use the Combatstick more than anything else.

Here, here Michael!

After owning a Fighterstick and a Combatstick, I found myself siding with the Combatstick as well for the very same reasons. But you just can't get the same feel a Fighterstick has w/ a Combatstick (Fighterstick's broad base and large gimbal along w/ long stick throw-the best!). That was, until y'all over at CH made the ultimate Combatstick--the Jane's F-16 Combatstick! A marriage made in heaven! The large base & large gimbal & long stick throw of a Fighterstick, but w/ the Combatstick's button & hat setup! Man, what a stick!

That's why, when I went to USB gear, only the Combatstick 568 USB would do. It's setup is exactly like the Jane's Combatstick w/ the exception of USB, 8-way POV hat & automatically gives simeltaneous button presses(the Jane's gameport model would give simeltaneous button presses when the switch in the base was switched to "Pro Throttle" mode & only had a 4-way POV hat). This stick gives me a rush when I'm flying WarbirdsIII. Just the right amount of everything for me!

Not trying to change nobody's thinking toward the Fighterstick, but the Combatstick 568 USB is tops IMHO!

YMMV :D
