I am going to continue the thread I just started over at the other section into this section as it is just a matter of programming and there are no problems.
Reference: Downloading for all 3 games of the IL2 series.
As I understand Michael, just download a prop sims profile from the profiles section into the control manager and since it already has programmed commands all I have to do is download it before starting the game.
If for some reason I want to change the commands, all I have to do is download a prop cmc file from the cmc section. Just like LOMAC, right click, insert command and so.
Thanks [/b]
I thought we could start a new thread instead of leeching onto another. It's easier to find and I don't have to wade through another issue to get to yours each time I try and back track to find out what is going wrong.

This is true but make sure that if they are using a CMC file that they include it in the ZIP file in the Profiles section.

This is also true but as I mentioned above you may already need this CMC file or it may already be in the ZIPed Map you download from the Prop Profiles Section.

Hi Mike,
1) Is there a profile for the first IL2 game?
2) In reference to LOMAC, how can I convert the mini-joystick to a button.
Thanks

I think I found the answer for question #1.
I see a IL2 Sturmovik cmc file in the cmc section. I guess I download a base profile then the cmc file ( by you ) then use that. I just don't see a profiles file for IL2 Sturmovik in the profile section.

You are correct.
2) In reference to LOMAC, how can I convert the mini-joystick to a button.[/b]
The Mini-Joystick already has a button. If you are just looking to push it in and send a button it is already set to act as button 1 on the Pro Throttle. If you are looking to move the Mini-Joystick in four different directions and get four different buttons that will require some programming.
So which is it?

I will keep it simple and just use it as a single button for now.
I assume control manager scripting is what you mean by moving the mini-stick 4 different directions to get 4 different buttons.
I'll wait some time before I go into that, if I do.
Thanks.

No you can do it in the GUI.

Interesting, how would you do that.
Secondly, I wanted to program the command CONTROL-BACKSPACE ( displays fps ) to my joystick. Since the command is not in the cmc file I manually typed it in as CTLBKSPC. I get a window saying: Unrecognized character or keyword: Download cancelled. How should I type it in.
Thanks.

Richard> Take a look at this (http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20) thread for help on making that ministick act like a 4 way hat switch.

Thanks everyone, but how about the fps display. I followed the user guide instructions on CTLBKSPC and get the unrecognized character message. Any luck there.
Thanks

You have to seperate commands in the Control Manager with a space.
CTLBKSPC is CTL BKSPC
