Salute!
I have got some problems with Mechwarrior Mercenaries in combination with the CH Pro Pedals USB.
I dont know how to get the pedals working on a MW Mercs Map because my english isnt very good.I also tried the Map/CMC that i found on your site - but it did not work.
I want to set the forward speed on the left pedal and the backward speed on the right pedal - but i cant get it working.
I hope you can help me with this problem.
Best regards,
Underdog

What joystick(s) are you using with the Pro Pedals?

The Pro Pedals USB will work with those controllers BUT ONLY in games that suport multiple joystick inputs.

Salute.
I think mercs is such a game - but i am not sure.
I set the Pedals as mouse z axis now and its working with the rudder axis.
Is there a possibility to set it to the brakes?
best regards

Mercs is not capable of multiple joystick inputs but as you have the Pedals set as a mouse and the game will allow you to control your Mech with a mouse you found a loop hole :thumbsup:
What do you want the toe brakes to do in game?

I want to set the foreward and backward speed on the pedals - left pedal backwards, right pedal forewards. And i want that i stop moving when i stop pushing the the pedals.

Well if you were using CH controllers with the Pedals this would be an easy script that would give you much better control but as you are not you are going to have to program the pedals to act as keystrokes.
What are the default key commands for "forward" and "backwards"?

Here is your script
SCRIPT
CMS.B1 = [JS1.A1 > 30];
Â*
CMS.B2 = [JS1.A2 > 30];
ENDSCRIPT
Then set CMS Button 1 to be -
and CMS Button 2 to be =

On the Control Manager tool bar..
ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Toolbar.jpg
Go to the eighth icon from the left, the CMS Editor..ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_CMS-Editor.jpg
When the CMS Editor opens up it will look like this..
ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_CMS-Editor-Screen.jpg
Paste this...
CMS.B1 = [JS1.A1 > 30];
CMS.B2 = [JS1.A2 > 30];
[/b]
Into the script between the "script" and "endscript" lines.

I put in the script and checked it - no errors found.
Then i put in the CMS controls at B1 minus (programmed function, press minus, release minus) and at B2 plus (programmed function, press plus. release plus).
Is there something wrong? - or what do i have to do now?

That sounds right. Are you holding the shift key when you enter either of those CMS.B1 or B2 commands?
Can you post your map?

It is still not working - think it must be a problem while activating the map.

Michael's map looks like it should do what you want. Are you doing the download (9th button from the left on the CM ToolBar)? If you're just hitting the "Mapped Mode" button it won't put the new map into place, just activates whatever was last downloaded. Once it's been downloaded, you can use the Mapped Mode to turn the map back on, but it has to be loaded first.
Michael's question about the shift key has to do with the "+" key. A lot of times, a game manual will say "+" because "+" and "-" are easy to remember when you're typing the keyboard. In actuality, unless you have to hold the shift key down it's really responding to "=" and "-", the unshifted versions. If you program "+", it actually send "SHF =" just like you would if you needed to type a "+" into NotePad for example. The same thing applies to all character commands. A lot of manuals will say something like "Landing Gear - G" when the actual key is "g". The capital looks better in print. Anyway, unless you have to do a shift to get the function to work, you want to program whatever the unshifted version of the key is.
