Hello!

I am new here and I would like your help.
I just bought a new gaming machine (P IV 2.8; Asus motherboard; Windows XP) and I have CH Flightstick and CH Pedals, both gameport.
My computer has only USB ports and I don`t want to throw away may old gear (is still function, thanks CH! ) so I thought on buying a Gameport (DB15) to USB adapter.
Also, I intend to buy the new CH Pro Throttle, which is for USB port.

My question is if this will work.
Will the Pedal and the joystick work properly with the adapter and Windows XP? By adding a Throttle to this, will I have problems with the system or the OS correctly recognizing it and its functions?

Thanks.

If and I do mean IF you get our game port controllers to function with the USB adapters then you can use them with the Pro Throttle USB. BUT only in games that support multiple joystick inputs. Also you will not be able to program either of the game port controllers in the Control Manager.

Michael,

This is clear for me now. I think I will risk it. Using CH controllers with USB adapter and the CH Pro Throttle. I do not worry about programmig the joystick.
My concern is if the programming oh the Pro Throttle will work. I believe it will, because it is a " true" USB game controller.
This is the only thing I would like to ckeck.

Thank you,

As the Pro Throttle USB is separate from the other controllers the Control Manager will see it and of course you will be able to program it. You will however need to keep it programmed to emulate keystrokes as if you let it show up as a controller in Game Controllers it will bump the other controllers down the list. This will prevent them from being seen by older games that support only one controller.

Long story short...YES...the Pro Throttle USB can be programmed with the Control Manager all by itself.

IF I can find an adapter to work with my game port pro pedals, do I still need to use the analog drivers? or because it is recognized as an USB device, I could just go and define it as a HID?

I need to figure out a way since my mb dosen't have a game port either.

I'm investigating two options:
1) usb-game adaptor
2) install 2nd sound card with game port.

You would not need the CH Analog drivers as the pedals would be seen as whatever the adapter was called.
