Greetings to all.

I whrite from Brazil. In my country we don't have good sources to buy good joysticks.
WEB shopping doesn't help, due to high taxes (60+12%), an unfavorable exchange.

Times behind there were resellers of products CH products, now out of busines.
For now only good available joysticks is Saitek models, for about 150U$,
expensive for us.

Due to this I recommended a friend to buy a CH Force FX with little use
The first owner was a commercial pilot with little free time for MS FS series. ;)

We know ourselves that Forcefeedback efects doesn't work in the WinXP +DX9.
We used the basic functions of the joystick, like my CH F16 Combatstik.

The FX works well with the drivers CH_ANLG.

After tests we started to use the joystick without power suply.
If we use the power doesn't make difference.
I disconnected and I removed the serial cable, now without use.

I build a simple throtle whit a 100k pot and case of old
joystick, linked with a cable Y in the gameport. Work fine.

My question is:
The electric motors (now whitout use) inside of the joystick they affect
the movement of X and Y axis negatively owed the reduction gears and effect wheel.
Can I remove these motors with safety?

Thanks.

I believe that those motors (even when not operating) are the only things that give the Force FX any tension at all. I will open one up when I get to the shop tomorrow but I think with out the motors the stick would just flop over.
