Hello,

It is not easy to know which character will be generated when you work in control manager with a non US keyboard. Mine is an AZERTY kybd. I give you an example of use. On my keyboard the US "1" key has "&" as non shifted char and "1" as shifted char.

I will use the following abbreviations :
KB = keyboard push
KT = what is displayed in Key Test Utility
dl = download map
KSR : what is displayed in key stroke recorder
GUI : what is displayed in control manager
TXT : what is displayed in text processor .

If I use these keys in control manager here are the results :

KB => 1 / KT => lshf 1 / GUI => 1 / dl / push key : KT => 1 / TXT => &
using "record keystroke function"
KB => 1 / KSR=> LSHF 1 /GUI=> ! /dl/ push key: KT => LSHF 1 / TXT => 1

KB => & / KT => 1 / GUI => & / dl / push key : KT => LSHF 7 / TXT => 7
using "record keystroke function"
KB => & / KSR=> 1 /GUI=> 1 /dl/ push key: KT => 1 / TXT => &

If I push on 'é' (US 2 key) then I have an error on download (char not recognized).

If some body has a trick to ease my work, I would appreciate.
Is CH planning some thing for international keyboard ?
It is just annoying not at all blocking.
Thank you for your attention and for your expected answers
Bye

I know this is not the answer you were looking for but as of now non-US keyboards are not on the development list.

I am sorry but the best thing to do is open the "Record Keystrokes" in the right click fro the press box. Press the key you want and the Control Manager will see and input the US equvilant(when you click on Exit here in the keystoke recorder). When you download the map it will not throw a fit and if you open a text document and press the button on the controller that you just programed you will see your "AZERTY" keystroke displayed and not the one the Control Manager shows.

But you already know this. Sorry :(

Hello,
Thank you for your answer. It is not a big issue, just some hard times sometime specially for CTL,ALT and SHF sequences. May be in the future there will be a way to ease the things.

As I have said, CH products are for me really great.

Nice evening
