Hello,
It is not easy to know which character will be generated when you work in control manager with a non US keyboard. Mine is an AZERTY kybd. I give you an example of use. On my keyboard the US "1" key has "&" as non shifted char and "1" as shifted char.
I will use the following abbreviations :
KB = keyboard push
KT = what is displayed in Key Test Utility
dl = download map
KSR : what is displayed in key stroke recorder
GUI : what is displayed in control manager
TXT : what is displayed in text processor .
If I use these keys in control manager here are the results :
KB => 1 / KT => lshf 1 / GUI => 1 / dl / push key : KT => 1 / TXT => &
using "record keystroke function"
KB => 1 / KSR=> LSHF 1 /GUI=> ! /dl/ push key: KT => LSHF 1 / TXT => 1
KB => & / KT => 1 / GUI => & / dl / push key : KT => LSHF 7 / TXT => 7
using "record keystroke function"
KB => & / KSR=> 1 /GUI=> 1 /dl/ push key: KT => 1 / TXT => &
If I push on 'é' (US 2 key) then I have an error on download (char not recognized).
If some body has a trick to ease my work, I would appreciate.
Is CH planning some thing for international keyboard ?
It is just annoying not at all blocking.
Thank you for your attention and for your expected answers
Bye
