View Full Version : Stronger Centering Spring for Combatstick

Hi,

I“ve been modding my combatstick by lengthening the stick with a piece of Aliminium pipe so i can use it as a centermounted stick in my homepit.
The problem is now that the centering tension from the springs isn“t strong enough anymore. When flying you miss the feeling of when the stick is centered.

Does anyone have any experience with changing the centering tension for the stick??

Kind regards,
AndrƩ

Nope, not me...

What if you were to use PVC rather than Aluminium

Or, you could use one of these (http://www4.nau.edu/fronske/brochures/images/condom.jpg) ;) Or perhaps a set of these (http://www.chproducts.com/shop/parts.html)?

Thanks for the link. That was a nice thread to read through. I wonder at what point he came up with the idea....
But i“ll try taking one of the springs out and replace them with a stronger one.

I used Aluminium because it“s still very lite and 16mm fits perfectly around the base and 12mm fits nice into the stick. I used PVC for a previous try on an old Thrustmaster Topgun stick, but never got the stick fixated strong enough.

Kind regards,
