Greetings fellow Sim'ers
Has anyone come up with a way to hook up the buttkicker to a chair without a center post(ie..desk chair) My sim rig's seat is part of the frame and my co-pilot bought this buttkicker from amazon.com it's great BUT i would like to attach it to my "cokpit":)

I saw where someone had built a simpit and they made a bracket that held it to the bottom of the seat. I just looked for it but couldn't find it. Another alternative is a "Bass Shaker" It screws to the bottom Of the pit. As a matter of fact I just ordered a set for my pit. Just Google "Bass Shaker" You'll get plenty of info on them.

Another solution that I was going to use before I discovered the "Bass Shaker" was a 1" floor flange screwed to the seat and a piece of 1" pipe threaded into flange, and the Buttkicker attached to that. These parts can be bought in the plumbing dept at Home Depot. for a couple of dollars.

follow up to prior post. my seat is mounted to the floor of the cockpit. The buttkicker is mounted to the R front leg it causes the entire cockpit to vibrate and shake, it has been an awsome abbition to the simulator. I would say that it adds at least as much if not more to the simulator experience as sound dose. I did have some problems with the buttkicker overheating but that was solved buy modifing the case. I cut out a 5 in. opining and added a fan in will now run for houres non stop. good luck with your sim pit:joystick::joystick:

I've been in Skpg's cockpit and the buttkicker is all he says. When the P51 engine starts you'd swear you were in the real thing I have one attached to my standard office chair and it doesn't come anywhere close.
