Well guys I think that its time for me to hang up my flight sim hat for a while... I am not going to leave the Hangar and will still play Steel Beasts Pro but I find that I need to concentrate on a few things that are of a bit more importance to me right now than playing Falcon or Il2. I am going back to college finally after a 10 year hiatus. Switching majors at the University and will be going for my B.A. in Art/Photography. So with the family, school and work I need to let something go for the time being. I am trying to liquidate some of my stuff to help pay for some books, equipment ect...
This is what I have:
Fighterstick USB
FrankenPotato Modded Throttle/Throttle Quadrant -- Done by Ghost. I love this thing!!
Prod Pedals (USB)
Track IR4 w/6DOF
Buttkicker Gamer - I just broke the plug but am sure it will be an easy fix
XKeys 58 - I won't play F4 w/o it!
LockOn Gold Flaming Cliffs
Falcon 4: Allied Force
IL2 1946
Three Books: Robert Shaws Fighter Combat Tactics and Maneuvering
Eye of The Viper and Vipers in the Strom
I want to sell this as one setup... best reasonable offer gets it.Please email me at intoxicatedace@gmailDOTcom

Any more links to the "Franken Potato" then the review on your E-bay post - how do you program the extra keys and rotaries in control manager?
Thanks

The Franken Potato uses circuit boards and switches from a Throttle Quadrant, AFAIK it appears as a throttle quadrant in Control Manager and you program it like that.

Its weird 37 people "watching" but only one bid. Its OK as long as I sell it I guess. Its rough looking at this stuff sitting on my shelf. Arrghh!!

There was a knock at the door and a huge box waiting there for me...I rushed to open it. What could be inside? Lots of newspaper, I mean lots of newspaper, wait there it is a Franken Potato to call my own!!! I rush to the computer, plug it in, and fire up control manager. Windows finds my new hardware and repeatedly installs the software for it...I wait, then wait, then wait some more. Windows declares that my new hardware is ready. I try to calibrate my new controls and nothing happens - fear, terror, oh crap sets in. I reboot. Windows comes on again and says found new hardware need to install drivers - WHAT? Ok windows again with the install. I click next, I click next, I click next, I click next (you get the idea...I am in windows hell) Okay, windows says my hardware is ready. I am an hour and a half into my ownership and have owned nothing, the Pavlov dog in me is getting uber frustrated. Re-open control manager. I fire up my favorite IL2 profile. I add a TQ to my profile. I add CM Device 4 and start writing and calibrating. Ten minutes have passed. I now fire up IL2 and enter controls and map trim functions to my new rotaries. I select an off-line mission and hit fly. I start up my plane and launch from the carrier. I clean up the aircraft and finger the trim wheels - Immediately I am on a centered flight path with a 20 degree climb out profile without a hitch. This thing is awesome... Windows a total pain in the ass. Waiting a week for the potato to cross the country nerve racking. Flying with trim wheels on my PT priceless...
Thanks Joe I will treasure this piece of kit for some time...
Question for Ghost: The comms switch is in the button two position and is reversed – easy to adapt to – but the switch itself is rotated 90 degrees so that the track pads are not properly aligned. How hard is it to remove the switch button itself and rotate and can this be done without rotating the whole switch? Just wondering because it does feel a little weird…
Wrench out… :joystick:

Answer for Wrench: Yes you can rotate either the pad, or the entire switch, your choice. It'd be easier (IMO) to leave it alone and just get used to it. But, if you'd like I could talk you through doing it, perhaps on a Team Speak or Skype? Just let me know. (PM)
