I think I finally have everything set up the way I want it for my pit. It is an almost entirely CH affair as well, even the desk. I'm essentially surrounded by equipment in a semi-circle, so everything is nice and close.

I have one more MFP to put in, but I have the Wolf Claw keyboard there on the left because I haven't finished my FalconAF template for it yet so I didn't want to just have a blank MFP in the pic. When I feel like driving, I just swing my chair over to the left side, rotate the monitor, and start driving.
The only things left to do is the last MFP and a monitor extension arm. The arm is to bring the screen a little closer to the wheel when I'm driving. It would be nice to have the screen just a little closer to me when I'm flying too because I find that I tend to lean forward at times.

Great pit Corsair, I still have a ton of work to do on mine. The pit itself is finished (Akers-Barnes) But the sound proof room has been put on hold for the summer. I also have to finish insulating the basement as part of it. Hope to get started on it in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks. When I have more room, I am likely going to build my own Akers-Barnes pit but modify the dimensions to hold a bunch of MFPs. That is if I do it, because I think I'm liking what I have right now too.

That looks REALLY good. But if you leaning in to look at the screen maybe you should skip the monitor swing arm and go for a bigger monitor :)
I can't say enough nice things about the Dell 30" we have for trade shows.

Thanks for the compliment. It already is pretty big at 22", and is a good size for just about everything except trying to land in Falcon. I find I have to lean in to see the AOA bracket and to see the FPM and make sure it's seated properly on the runway. It would be nice to bring that view closer.
Just remembered the other reason I stopped at 22", it was sketchy if my current rig's graphics card could handle more than the resolution I have at 22". Maybe with a new rig :)

Corsair: Have you thought about using a fresnel lens? The guys on the racing sim forums swear by them. Have a look at these threads.

I have one but have not set it up as yet, for reasons stated above.

I remember a couple of those threads! I rejected it because I just didn't like the view I got. I had seen some displays somewhere a while ago and decided it wasn't what I was after. The other reason for the arm which isn't really apparent from the photo is that right now, when the monitor is rotated towards the wheel, it isn't in direct line with it. It's off-center about 10-11" which is a little irritating. So part of the reason for the arm is also to center things up a bit.
The other, non-sim-related reason is that I sometimes watch movies on my computer (streaming stuff that I occasionally find on the net). What is just outside the picture is a couch I have in this room as well. It's directly behind where the chair would be when I'm racing. I want to extend the arm so it's closer to the couch so I can relax there and watch movies in something even more comfortable than my office chair.
For that I may need the 30" screen :)

I believe it's called "Wolf Claw" keyboard but, will stand corrected if needed. :D

That is correct. Sometimes they are also known as the Wolf King keyboard as well. I'm not sure which name gets used when. Really like it for FPS.

Awesome setup man! I live in Mississauga too. Where did you buy your MFP from? I just can't seem to find it anywhere in Canada. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
PS. I couldn't PM you since there's a 10 post limit imposed. :(

An unfortunate restriction put in place to stop spam posters abusing the PM system as was the case recently unfortunately

Thank you for the compliments.
Sorry for the delay, works' been crazy. I got mine from Threshold Aviation (http://www.thresholdaviation.com) which is near Pearson. That's where I got all of mine. They are so good I can't recommend anyone else. I doubt they have them in stock, but they would very happy to take your order and get one. I like them because I find that other aviation-related places seem to look down their noses at us simulations guys. Not them, they appreciate the business.
Just going there is a pleasure because next door they are building/have built a full 737 simulator for their other business of pilot training. And just all of the other stuff. I only go about twice a year but I can be there for a long time.
