Recently I’ve bout a CombatStick and Pro Throttle and I love the setup. Only drawback I have found was the weak centering tension however that was easily fixed with replacing the springs with stronger one.
The transition to CH gear has “produced” leftovers that I would like to use to produce a custom made FF HOTAS as inspired by some of the “crazy” people roaming this boards. It will be made out of parts of MS FFSW2 stick, TM TopGun throttle Section and probably Leo Bodnar’s BU0836A joystick controller. I’m missing the final part though now that I have touched the Handgrip of the CH stick. So is it possible to buy only the handgrip with buttons of Combat or Fighter stick? I’ve see that gimbal mechanism along with some other spare parts can be bought so I guess there is possibility of getting other joystick parts or am I wrong?

I don't think the grips are available alone. I was looking for a fighter or combat stick to convert to USB and hall-effect, but couldn't even find used ones for an acceptable price, so ended up using my flightstick pro.

You could make the guts of the system, then swap across your combatstick's handle when it's ready.

Or even buy a logitech extreme 3d pro - and use the handle from that. They're pretty comfortable and well built, it's just the pots and firmware on them that people don't like.
