Hello Everyone,

Here is the mouse patch for the XP Bootdisk v1.0 (CHFIXDS.exe) This should work with most PC's. Let me know if you have any issues gettting your mouse to work.

Unzip this file directly to your bootdisk. It will replace the config.sys file and add Ctmouse.exe

Info for Help Needed....

1. Mouse connection (ps, ps/2, Usb...etc)
2. Mouse brand
3. Wheel, lazer
4. Scroll
5. MotherBoard/PC model

Great work on the the XP Boot disk!

How's the Mouse Support Patch coming? I BADLY need to map numkeys to my hat switch but AFAIK it's not possible unless I can clicky the buttons on the keyboard diagram.

Thank you -

Wulfgar,

The mouse driver works :D, just have to slam it into a zip file with a modified dos boot file and I'll be done.

Not working for me.

It loads into a help screen but just hangs there. I waited a few minutes but nothing happened. The floppy drive lite stays on and the help screen repeats itself 3 times. Doesn't seem to accept any inputs either.

I know nothing of DOS so this may just be a newbie error.

Using a Microsoft Optical Intellimouse PS/2.

BLAZERBRUCE. let me first thank you again for helping me with my throttle!!! It's still working and I'm still enjoying it :-)
But one think I would like to ask you, is how do I get the "keyboard" function to work, in the DOS-program, when I want to assing buttons? I can't select it and I would like to be able to assign other buttons than the normal a-z.
When I press the "keyboard" key, nothing happens :(

Regards
Michael

Michael -
You need to press ALT+B (I think its 'B', whatever letter is highlited) to get the keyboard diagram to pop up. However you need to use a mouse to select function buttons and numpad keys.

So we're waiting patiently for Blazer to work out the bugs in the new mouse support patch. :drunk:

No worky. :(

I started with a fresh install of the bootdisk, then copied over autoexec.bat, config.sys, and mouse.com.

Sequence of events:
1. MS DOS starts
2. Mouse driver flashes on screen
3. The CH Boot Utility screen comes up asks to press any key to continue
4. Something flashes on screen VERY quickly, I think it says "bad or corrupt file..."
5. Screen that says "please remove disk and restart comp to return to windows" with A:\> prompt

Hope this helps. Keep at it! :bye:

Wulfgar,

Thanks for the detailed feedback, see what I can do when I get back from classes tonight. Sounds like I just need to edit the autoexec.bat file. I may start a new thread on the XP forum tonight so check it out ;)
