Hi Guys,
What are the pro throttle pov button numbers used for assigning CMS buttons? I know for the Flightstick they are B25-33 starting from the top and going clockwise.

Also Bob, perhaps you could number them in the CM UI instead of just naming them POV, as you do with all other buttons.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Capt_Crunch,

They're B25 to B32, actually. They're the same on all the controllers. The "middle" buttons are always B21 through B23 for Hats 1 through 3 and B24 for the POV itself.

It's kind of a problem. I didn't want to give button numbers to them in the GUI since the POV doesn't really have button numbers under Windows and the sim would never be able to access them by number under normal conditions. The only one I know of that does is Flight Simulator.

If you script things I figure you know what you're doing and can keep track of that, and even if the sim allows you to reference the POV positions individually, the Buttons numbers wouldn't be there. It's still going to be"POV Up/Right" or something like that. I'm afraid it would just confuse people. They'd program "Button 26" in the GUI and then open the sim and wonder where Button 26 went. Flight Sim does allow button number if you disable the POV, but in general I just think it would cause more confusion than it's worth. I suppose You can argue it either way, but after 7 years I try not to change anything if I don't have to. Adding to it is one thing but I think changing the way things are referenced this late in the game would just create trouble for most users.

Anyway, they're consistent, so you only have to recall one set. And the only time you really need a reference like that is down in the script. You can always assign the POV position on a particular button to some button on the CM Device that gets created, otherwise it's just an internal reference anyway.

Best regards,

- Bob
