Apparently not. It's obviously something with the USB not installing correctly. Until you get that working, the CM and the CH devices are going to be dead. The only thing I've ever seen like that happened to me a few years ago. My mobo had VIA chips on it which were crap, so I plugged in a decent PCI USB card and disabled the VIAs. Nothing worked. Turned out I had to leave the VIAs enabled even though I wasn't using them or no USB would work.
Anyway, my best suggestion would be to try over at:
http://www.usbman.com
and see if he had any info on drivers, motherboards, BIOS settings, etc. that seem like they might apply. For the most part, those cards just plug in and run.
Not much help really, I wish I had some better ideas for you to try. Good luck with it!

well i figured it out.
this is a new pc,the front usb ports have some wires i didnt connect.
a friend told me to just try the usb card in a different slot as the slot on the mb may be sharing a dma? slot with something else.
i changed the card to another slot and it is working fine.
thanks for responding quickly to this and other post ive had .
