:o I'm using a generic-walk Worsel map as a start and have programmed buttons to keys, etc. I have also calibrated my stick each time! But for some reason I still get "drift" as if the stick was uncalibrated! And when I'm in a vehicle the joystick cannot be used to control it! By default of the map the X-Y axises are in DX mode but are button assigned in the CMS script. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Do you get drift in one directon or another? Is it only when you are in a vehicle or is it also when you are on foot?

:o I'm not sure if it is a particular direction but yes it occurs in and out of vehicles. Aldo, I cannot control the vehicle with my Fighterstick. Thanks.

Which map is the "Worsel" map?

Where did you get it?

Worsel's page is lniked to on the CH site. I used the generic walk map which takes into account a button being pressed to run/walk.

Using Control Manager 3.0 I opened the map above and then calibrated my Fighterstick. I then downloaded the map and opened Far Cry (no patch) made NO changes to the Far Cry Options and jumped in a Multiplayer game. There was no "drift" and I could control my movement on foot with either the keyboard or the joystick. The map in question does however make me run when I am close to the center of the axis and walk when I am furthest from the center Which kept me from staying in a vehicle long enough to drive it.

I am now going to download the patch and try that.

Got the 1.1 patch and it plays the exact same as with out the patch. I am going to change the run vs. walk so that I can test a vehicle. Problem is if I press the joystick to far while driving I will jump out of the vehicle.

Can you post your map so I can see it?

This is not the maps fault. Worsel's script assumes there is a walk<->run button, that you need to keep pushed to run. You need to make sure the script uses the same button as you have configured in-game. Usually the SHIFT button is used for this. Maybe the script assumes default walk, and run when the SHIFT button is pushed, while FarCry asssumes default run, and walk when the SHIFT button is pushed. Can't tell for sure, as I don't own FarCry.

You are on the money Littleflower. Other issue at hand is that the run/walk modifier is the "SHIFT" button which is also the "action" key in Far Cry that gets you inand out of a vehicle. Which means that if you move the stick far away from center while driving you get out of the vehicle :)

I will look at changing the map and re-post it here.

Would there be a way to make an alias for the "action" key and would that help?

It would help if you changed the action key in Far Cry to something else.
