Hi Everyone,

Need a little help with my Fighterstick, Throttle and Pro Pedals that I just installed. Up until now, I've been using the Topgun Afterburner but I needed more HOTAS control. I only fly IL2 FB with average frame rates of about 40 on Excellent settings in a Furball with the mirrors On. I installed all three CH devices, and CM3, Install went great. They all show as 3 seperate USB devices. I calibrated everything in CM as well.

My problem is that when I fly IL2 now, my frame rates dropped 10 fps. I went back to the Afterburner again and the frame rates were back up, then back to the CH HOTAS setup and the fps dropped again, Is it because IL2 needs to keep track of 3 devices now instead of just 1.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated because IL2 is pretty tough to tweak to get any more fps out of it and still enjoy the great graphics.

Thanks in advance,
Joe

When you began mapping the controllers did you answer yes or no to the question: "Do you want to combine controllers?" If you answered yes and after download of your IL2FB map the game would only see one controller i.e. CM Device 1. If you answered no the game would see however many controllers you have. As far as FPS, not to sure about that one

Didn't think of that Ghost. But I'm brand new to this CH HOTAS setup. I never knew the map would be seen as one device. Technology, huh. I'll give that a try tonight. Maybe that's the key. Instead of IL2 keeping trank of 3 devices, it'll only have to keep track of 1.

Thank You

One more question Please. Does Control Manager need to be minimized and running while the devices are mapped as one or does tha map just need to be downloaded and CM closed afterwards?

Thanks Again.

You don't need to have Control Manager running in the background, just download the profile to the joystick and close Control Manager. I've never had a stick cause any FPS drop in a game so I'd say the problem may lie elsewhere.

OH Joe, close the Control Manager by clicking the green exit button in the top right NOT the red X
