Hello guys.

I've been struggeling to set up my CH gear with a working map for DCS:Black Shark but without any success.

I downloaded a map which i thought i could reconfigure for my own devices but without any luck.

Is there anyone who can help me create a map for Combat Stick 568 and Pro Throttle for DCS:Black Shark?

Best Regards, Henrik:(

Hi b0bl00i,

Did you download the map before you tried it? There are three blue buttons on the tool bar. Until you download something the right-most one will be grayed out. If it's not grayed, then you should be in good shape.

One of the blue buttons should be highlighted with a light blue band around the little blue rectangle. If the third button, Mapped Mode, isn't grayed but isn't highligted, you can simply click it to activate the last map downloaded.

One other note. If you look in the Windows Game Controllers applet with the map downloaded do you see "CH Control Manager Devices" or are you seeing (at least some of the controllers) under their own names all in upper-case, "CH PRO PEDALS USB" rather than "CH Pro Pedals USB".

Let me know!

Best regards,

- Bob

Hello.

I've tried using the map in mapped mode (downloaded) and also in direct mode but with no difference.

Black shark doesn't recognize my AXES on the throttle and the combatstick, the only thing i can see is buttons. However, it automatically configures my x/y axis on the combat stick, works ingame but collective which should be mapped to throttle don't work ;-(.

That was the reason why i wanted the map. I've tried to strip the map from the stuff i don't have, such as the pedals and MFD and tried to add my combat stick instead of the fighter stick. I guess that in some way i need to tell which button that should correspond the each command in the CMC file.
I downloaded the CMC file for Black Shark and tried to add it via CM Editor.
But same there, no success. I can't say what i'm doing wrong. Will get back with more details for you tonight.

Many thanks for the reply.

Henrik

Hi Henrik,

Well, it could be the lack of the CMC file creating part of the problem. Click the "Program Settings" tab, the one at the far left. There's a box there for the Command File, click on that and you'll get a regular file dialog. Browse to the file you want to use. It should be in the same folder as your MAP and CMS file.

CMC files only affect characters, though, and wouldn't affect the games recognition of the axes. I would think there's some sort of in-game assignment that needs to be done. Maybe someone else here has an idea how that works.

Best regards,

- Bob

Hello Bob, reinstalled the game after some initial setup in Control Manger did the thing! :-) :yahoo: Helluva hard chopper to fly, the Ka-50.

Thank you for your effort!

hey b0bl00i I have pretty much the same setup as you however I have Pedals and a single MFP ...

Most of the Posted maps here are for fighter stick users (since they are the most common) but im quite willing to share my basic setup with you when Im done.

It is really best to pretty much learn as much as you can about CMS and grabs the bits and pieces you like though. those two extra hats are quiite a few extra buttons... but then ... We have to actual push buttons they dont so we get some extra joy as well.
