Yes! Very very nice. How many times did you modify it before you reached the final setup, or now you are at this point have you more refinements to do?

The only thing I modified per se is where the Throttle Quadrant is. I liked it where it was in my old pit and wanted it in the same place in this pit (in front of the PT). So, I manufactured (out of wood) a piece for both to go onto. It's as wide as the PT (the wooden piece) so it can still use the strapping feature that comes with the cockpit. As some of you may know the TQ is wider than the PT. That left me with access to four of the screws holding the TQ halves together. The other two, I drilled access holes in the wood. I split the TQ's halves and screwed the bottom half to the wood, eleminating the need for the clamps. Screwed the two halves back together and there you have what you see. I'll be writing up a review shortly for SimHQ, so stay tuned.

What a travesty !!! A great setup but no Franken-Potato. Wait a second ? This is the setup of the man behind the Franken-Potato. Oh, now I really feel sad.

Haven't had a F-P of my own for a couple years now

But, here's an update:

Can you help me with the perspective here? Is that top monitor at level with your eyes or is it slightly above? I think we need a shot of you sitting there so we can have a better idea of size and where things line up. This looks really cool.

Just how bad do you want my camera broken? The top monitor is centered in my line of sight. The lower one, I have to physically, look down at. I'll see what I can do about a picture with me in the pit... later...

At night, in an Extra, inverted, in Seattle...

Thanks for the photo, that helps a lot. I had visions of having to look up to see the screen but yeah, it's really at an incredible level. Really looks like you are in a small plane there to be honest.

Well an Extra 300 isn't all that big ;)

Hey, an F-16 isn't all that big inside either. I flew in an Extra 300 once with Air Combat Canada. What an operation trying to get inside. It felt like I was snaking my legs between and around things to get to the pedals. I remember the safety briefing about getting out. I don't think I would have been able to to be honest. We would have had to resort to plan C which was inverted and shake me out - if that was even an option. Glad we didn't have to find out.

I had the same vision of having to do that too. Thanks Ken for the pic.

Nice design Mr.Ghost. very organized, Very clean. To have a monitor below for instruments is the way to go. To close off the sides and top was a good idea. Out of all the home pits I have seen browsing the internet, I don't think I have seen anyone do that before. Not only does it give you places to mount equipment but it also blocks your vision from your home surroundings thus creating a better flight atmosphere. Cheers

Nice... I did not realize they sold a seat as well. Does the seat come with that base as well? Also is it a roomy chair or really a tight squeeze?.

Yes, it comes with the base. For my big butt it can be tight, but not to tight squeeze. I just scoot forward a wee bit and it's fine.

Couldn't leave well enough alone. The MFPs and XKeys Pro USB weren't at (for me) the proper viewing angle. So, I made wedges for them and mounted them with industrial strength Velcro...

the top bottom screen is an interestibg experience...feels better that th2g.. only because games with th2g are unplayable at high FOV values
