Okay, here's a link to the Akers Barnes Mk1 (http://www.62ndfightingfalcons.asn.au/Resources/AkersBarnesCockpit/DownloadCockpitPlans/tabid/74/Default.aspx) Probably the easiest to build...

Agreed. To make the Akers-Barnes pit, you need 2 sheets of 1/4" 4'x8' plywood (preferrably the sand-ply furniture-grade as it's perfectly flat), a measuring tape and a saw. It doesn't require screws, glue or hammer & nails. It simply fits together and is easily taken down and moved.

I only use the seat section of mine now since I parked it against the wall and use a wall-mounted setup for my monitor.

I highly recommend the A/B pit.

Try www.kwikpit.com I't a quick Semi Pit set up for those who need a quick kit or plans. The A/B is definetely a great sit in pit as well. I'm working on licensing from those guys and finding a manufacturer for prefab kits. Definitely not an easy task when you throw affordable in the mix.:)
