That's a 46" Samsung 1080p monitor. 5 CH Controllers. 2 Touchscreens. 2 X-Keys.

So that's where you've been hiding yourself? What a great monitor. Samsung makes great displays. Love the lighting and the "glare shield" as well.

Are those touch screen overlays on the small monitors? I was considering going that route as a small *" seems kinda small and was not sure how those would work. Thought I would ask..

Yes, they're both touchscreen overlays on 17" monitors. I was going to go Ergodex but I had so many problems with the software that I bought the overlays and monitors. It was after that CH worked out a deal with Ergo and made the MFP's. I could have gone either way with MFP or Touchscreens, actually. Seeing as how the overlays and monitors set me back a bit over 7 hundred, I could have easily gone with 3 MFP's, had the same functionality and still had some change left over. My timing was bad.
I still have the Ergodex that I use for First Person Shooters, but I'll most likely sell it and buy an MFP for that. Ergodex' software is really horrible. There's a fix for the software so it works without disabling your hardware but that was a user who found the fix. Ergo has horrible customer support and last time I checked it was close to 5 years since they've updated their software. Pisses me off that I bought two sets of keys and two plastic overlays for it...............

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I had a question Ruggbutt about your setup and that monitor.
Do you recall what the model number for your main Samsung display is?
You said that you like to sit close, how close are your eyes from the screen when you fly? It's hard for me to judge based on the pictures. Would you say you were within arms-reach of the monitor (could you reach out and touch it)?
At the distance you are sitting, do you notice the pixels (sort of a screen door effect)?
If you sat within arms-reach of the monitor would you notice the pixels then?
Sorry for so many questions - I'm just thinking an idea through at the moment and looking through my library of cool cockpit setups I saw yours and then that got some wheels turning.
Thank you very much in advance for any information you can share.

It's an older one, LN-T4665F.

32 inches from screen to my eyes.

No, the Sammie has a really good screen. It used to be my old TV for my living room, which I replaced with a 52" Sammie. But I checked before I put it in the pit cuz I was worried about pixelation.

It's about arms reach.

Thanks very much for the info. I then went to a Future Shop (just like a Best Buy) and looked at some Samsung Tv's (Samsung is my current 22 inch display and I love it). I got my nose about 24 inches and even less to the screen and the picture is excellent at that distance. So I think this will definitely be a purchase very soon. With someone doing some measurements of FC2's A-10 it appears that the 46 inch screen will give me a very close to 1:1 scale for the real cockpit.
Again, thank you for your help.
