View Full Version : Mini-Stick in LO-MAC...

Can I setup the mini-stick to act as both the Radar slew cursor in the F-15, and as the TVMFD slew cursor in the A-10, or do I have to create two different profiles? If I can do this, how do I set the mini-stick up? In the control manager or in LO-MAC's input options?
Thanks,
Ron

Those commands use the same key presses do they not? or do you mean the radar azimuth? either way you could setup the modes in Control Manager to use each of those commands depending on which mode you selected.

I meant radar azimuth. When you say modes, you mean the three modes on the throttle? So I should set it up in the control manager, and not in the LO-MAC input options page? I think I'm actually confusing myself. :wacko:

Modes for your CH USB controllers can only be setup in the Control Manager. If you want to have a Mode for AtA, a Mode for AtG, and a Mode for NAV then you should do it in the Control Manager and not in LOMAC.

I haven't been able to do it in LOMAC (at least get it to act "right").
The microstick acts all wierd. It auto-recenters making slewing the cursors REALLY difficult when you are flying at the same time.
If there is a way to do it without it recentering I would love to learn how...being able to use the microstick to slew the cursors would be GREAT.
I wish I could figure it out. :blink:

Are you setting the ministick as an axis then mapping htat command in game? if so then yes the cursor will re-centre because the ministick re-centre's you could map the ministick to simulate the keypresses required as described in this (http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20) thread.

WOOHOO! Thx Revvin!!
It works now, the only prolem is it is a little harder to control then the hat/castly switches as my microstick tends to "float" around with only the tiniest of movement.
For example, if I push the microstick up very lightly and take my hand away the cursor just keeps moving up. Almost like the microstick itself doesn't doesn't recenter.
Any ideas?
Thx for the help thus far!!

Increase the Deadzone for the X and Y axis to about 15 and then turn the Sensitivity on X and Y down to 90.
That takes the drift out of mine.

:( I still can't figure out how to work with the CMS file. Nevertheless, I re-mapped the function to the POV Hat, and it works like a charm. I'll post the new profile (An update to Revvin's January profile) for the 1.02 patch either tonight or tomorrow. Where can I get a template for a graphical layout so that I can include it in the ZIP file?
Thanks,
Ron

What do you mean? I wrote the CMS file for you. All you should have to do is unzip the map to your Maps folder, load it in the Control Manager, click download and then go play.

When I try to download the profile to the HOTAS I get an error message. THERE WAS AN ERROR COMPILING THE CMSCRIPT. I don't know how to fix it. It's not a big deal, as I have the HOTAS programmed just how I want it now, but thanks for taking the time to give it a go.
Thanks again,
Ron

SCRIPT
CMS.B4 = [JS2.A1 > 220];
CMS.B3 = [JS2.A1 < 30];
CMS.B2 = [JS2.A2 > 220];
CMS.B1 = [JS2.A2 < 30};
ENDSCRIPT

The line for CMS.B1 needs to end in a square bracket, not a curly brace:
CMS.B1 = [JS2.A2 < 30 ];
Just a typo....

Thank you Michael and Bob. :D That's exactly what I was looking for.
Michael, is the PDF you're putting together going to cover CMS scripting as well. I'd love to learn how to do it, but it seems convoluted just looking at it with no idea how to make it work.
Thanks again,
Ron

Bob,
What can I say....I was asleep at the wheel again :blink:
Ronnied316,
I am just re-writing the guide that is built into the Control Manager. A detailed How-To Scripting Guide is not in the works at the moment. But luckily scripts can't hurt your PC and there are a ton of people on this board who can push you in the right direction or hook you up with a script.
