View Full Version : Making profiles

Want to take a stab at developing my own profile. Have read the manual twice. Used the Map wizard as a starting pt. Have FSPTPP designated as one device for LOMAC, as I can't seem to figure how to get LOMAC to recognize any buttons on the throttle using the game options page. Have the CMC file in maps folder. Can you point me to the threads I read before on this site that give understandable instructions. Couldn't figure it out from the help file. Need to designate the buttons
for individual commands. Sorry have been out of the game for a couple of months.

Check out THIS (http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=175) thread B)

Treid to follow the thread. Have the base map up. Right click the space, left click on insert command and the insert screen pops up and its blank. How do you get the proper CMC file to be recognized? Also on the basic window when you click download and the maps file is shown, at the bottom there is a drop down window with "file types" that you ca select either maps or CMC files. What is that used for if anything. When "maps" is selected the CMC files don't show in the maps folder.

Programed the stick and its buttons OK. When I clicked on the Pro Throttle Tab the schematic came up but it would not recognize button clicks or hat movements. Tried to calibrate and it wouldn't recognize them either. The USB is plugged in and I have a green light on the throttle. WT_ Over?

When you click on Test/Calibrate ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Test-Calibrate.jpg do you see the Pro Throttle listed?

Santini

Yes. But when you try to calibrate it doesn't recognize the button movement or the hats on the throttle.

List for me your "CH Products" catagory in the Device Manager.

Are you using a USB hub?

What chipset is your USB host controller?

Sorry Mike. Don't know what your asking for when you say CHproducts catagory in the device manager or the chipset question. Not using a hub each device has its own port.

Now if you open the Control Manager and click on the Direct Mode icon ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/CM_Direct_Mode.jpg

Then close the Control Manager. Go to your Windows Control Panel and look in the Game Controllers.

Do you see all three devices listed here?
Are their names ALL CAPS or Mixed Case?

If the Pro Throttle is listed select it and then click on Properties. Is the Test Screen a black and green grid or a white square box with a cross in it?

When you move the Pro Throttle do you see things move on the screen?

Re-Booted. Opened control Panel. All 3 were there, mixed case, the screen was as you discribed and yes things moved around. Went back to Control Manager. It now took button command input. Designated all the buttons, downloaded flew a test mission in LOMAC. Everything seemed to work except the throttle itself and when you pull button 1 Fire weapon, it only fires guns not missiles, for that you have to use the keyboard. The is no fire or pickle missile in the CMC file.It does this even when a missile is selected.

Rudder pedals don't work either. Calibrated both pedals and throttle prior to test.

I'll do that today. I get off work early today. Just for info I tried to fly one of Revvin's profiles yesterday and everything seemed to work ok except the throttle and the rudder pedals put you in a spiral. I don't know if thats a deadzone issue. Didn't have time to play with it. Give you a call this afternoon. I'm in Fallbrook so its local.

If you are in Fallbrook then you can always stop by the shop and we can have a look here if you like, it's a blast. Ask 531_Ghost he's here at least once every two weeks :)
