I know at one point - and possibly currently - CH was using HotSeat Chassis for their booth at some expos. I was wondering if anyone from CH or those that visited CH had a chance to sit in the HotSeat Chassis. If so, can you say whether the seat was padded or how comfortable it was?
Some pictures make it look like just a leather cover over a plastic bucket seat, but others make it look like there may be some padding. Just trying to gauge how comfortable the seat might be.
Thanks.

It's fairly comfortable. I'm working on getting an eval copy so I can write a couple articles for Lockonfiles and CombatAce. If I get one expect an in depth review.

Oh, well that should be a damn good review. Best of luck getting the eval unit. I'll wait to see what you write it you get it. A lot of it will hinge upon the seat to be honest. Is it going to be comfortable or is my butt going to sore after an hour. No point spending that sort of money if that's the case.
Hopefully someone else has had some "seat time" with it or can at least remember what it felt like.

Very comfortable, actually. There is a little padding under the leather cover that gives just enough cushion. I can go upstairs and take some close up pictures if you like...

Thank you for the offer. I've seen some closeups but I was trying to determine if it was padding or just molding. Nice that it is padding. I'm hoping someday to be in a position to get it, but it looks like that time period stretched out a little now. Plus, I'd like to see what Ruggbutt writes as a review of it - so I'll wait for that in the meantime.

Greetings- new to the forum and this is my first post.
Any updates to the Hotseat Chassis line of simulation? I'm seriously considering purchasing one and have thoroughly perused their website. There are few reviews in cyberspace and none are comprehensive. Last year I was in Hartford on business and contemplated a side-trip to their factory, but no completed sims were available. They seem to have a unique niche market, and the high-end products with 4-screens and multiple consoles seem worthy. FWIW I have no talent cobbling together a consortium of units and will gladly pay for the systems integration they offer.
But I wouldn't dare order one without first-hand experience and/or critical review!

Check out my review on the Obutto Gaming Cockpit (http://combatace.com/topic/59958-obutto-gaming-cockpit/). I like it much better than the Hotseat.

Hey Guys,
I work for Hotseat Chassis and we have 2 options for the seat. We have a plastic bucket seat with a leather cover and it has padding in between the cover and plastic seat. And then we have a fully padded, fabric seat that also reclines as our seat upgrade.
RuggButt: Give us a call or send an email to Leah@hotseatsim.com and I'm sure we'll be able to work something out about a review.
And anybody who wants to try one out, give us a call and we can let you know if there are any in your area or possibly work out a time to check out the units at our factory in Connecticut. We will also be attending AOPA in Hartford CT September 22nd-24th, We will have units at UAA 2011 Conference Sept 28th-30th as well as I/ITSEC 2011
P.S Debby: Thanks for the help there LOL see you at I/ITSEC 2011. What booth are you? We will be 1885. Jared, Jay and I :w00t: No Oshkosh 2011
